Who We Are

Cicero was a Roman statesman, orator, and philosopher. Active in the first century B.C., he was one of the figures at the center of Roman politics during decades of tumultuous upheaval as the Republic became an Empire. Here at History Bros, Cicero is the older of the two brothers. He is a lawyer, with a keen interest in the history of politics, law, and the state.

Saint Bonaventure, a medieval Franciscan friar and Cardinal of the Catholic Church, is often overshadowed by his contemporary scholastics, particularly the looming intellectual giant of Saint Thomas Aquinas. In addition to his work in theology, Bonaventure was also a keen historian, writing an official biography of Saint Francis of Assisi. On the web, Bonaventure is the nom de plume of the younger History Bro, a United States navy officer with an eye for the history of the Church and war.
